Where do I enter my license key?

Open DeskSquat. If it isn't activated yet you'll see the key field right away; otherwise go to Settings (gear icon) → License. Paste the whole DS1.… string from your email and press Activate.

The key says "failed verification"

The key is one long unbroken string — make sure your email app didn't cut it in half when copying. Select everything from DS1. to the very end. Still stuck? Use the form above to get a freshly issued key.

Can I move DeskSquat to a new Mac?

Yes. Install DeskSquat on the new machine and activate with the same key, then delete the app from the old one. The license covers 1 device in use.

Sitting or squat detection seems off

DeskSquat works with your normal desk framing — it needs your shoulders in view. If detection is flaky: raise your laptop lid so the camera sees you straight on, avoid strong backlight (a bright window directly behind you), and check the camera preview to confirm you're in frame.

How do updates work?

Automatically. DeskSquat checks for updates in the background and installs them on quit — all future updates are included with your license, free.

Is my camera really private?

Yes — frames are analyzed in memory on your Mac and immediately discarded. Nothing is recorded and the app makes zero network requests at runtime. Verify it yourself with Little Snitch or lsof. Details in the privacy policy.
